In our SUMMER EXPERIENCES we are sharing some of the local secrets, best kept tips, suggested itineraries, and some of the most beautiful and tastiest locations in the Southern Highlands.
OVERVIEW
BELMORE FALLS: view the falls from the lookout OR you can walk to the top – wade in the pool on the other side of the bridge.
NELLIES GLEN: A smaller fall with wading pool and picnicking areas..
CARRINGTON FALLS: Popular waterfall with viewing platforms, trails AND facilities for barbecuing and picnicking.
RAINBOW FALLS: A scenic walking track to reach these quaint falls.
CASCADE FALLS: walk through the rainforest to reach the waterfall – great views of the waterfall AND even a spot for a swim.
FITZROY FALLS: You can spend half day hiking and viewing waterfalls or take the short walk to view the main fall and enjoy the oinsite facilities.
TWIN FALLS: easy walk to the lookout and Great view over the valley.
THE GROTTO: A smaller fall part of the Fitzroy trail..
FAIRY BOWER FALLS: One of the more magical walks in the region – worth the effort to walk all the way to the bottom of the falls.
